Project
Parsons Water and Infrastructure is providing Project Management, Engineering and Project Controls services to the $2.4 billion Capital Improvement Program for the Orange County Sanitation District. Parsons is a partner in expanding the existing and primary and secondary treatment capacity, address projected future hydraulic deficiencies in the conveyance system, and rehabilitate aging pumping and conveyance structures.
Need
The Sr. Inspector is responsible for performing the most difficult and complex inspection tasks, including assessing adherence to quality control procedures for installation/testing of mechanical systems, concrete placement and structural steel fabrication/erection. You will inspect various aspects of work on the construction site and perform continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. This role will also document nonconformance and participate in determining appropriate resolution.
Inspection activities are usually concentrated in one or more of the following areas: tunnel, soils, concrete, steel, mechanical, or electrical. Frequently serves in the capacity of Lead Inspector. Willingness to travel and/or to relocate to field sites is expected.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in both Mechanical inspection on heavy construction projects.
Either a two year degree in an applicable technical discipline or construction related-field, or, a high school diploma and equivalent work
